Our Retreat Facilitators
The Souls Guiding Your Journey
At JAX, our facilitators and support team are not just staff—they’re deeply committed practitioners and space holders who understand the courage it takes to show up for real healing.
Many have been with us since day one, shaping JAX into what it is: a space that can hold intensity, tenderness, grief, joy, and everything in between. From our trauma-informed facilitators to our soulful chefs and dedicated retreat managers, each person plays a key role in creating the safety, structure, and care needed for deep emotional and nervous system healing to unfold.
We’re not here to offer surface-level wellness. We’re here to meet people where they are and walk beside them through the work—whether it’s trauma release, somatic unwinding, grief integration, or energy recalibration.
This is a team who gets it, because we’ve lived it.
Rebecca Jax
Founder of JAX Healing Retreats & Creator of the JAX Method
-
Rebecca Jax is the founder of JAX Healing Retreats and the creator of the JAX Method—a trauma-informed approach to somatic healing that weaves together Kundalini energy work, breathwork, bodywork, and nervous system repair. With nearly a decade of experience and having trained over 100 facilitators in her method, Rebecca is known for her grounded, intuitive facilitation and her ability to hold space for raw, real, and lasting transformation.
Her work was born through personal loss, spiritual rupture, and the long, nonlinear path of healing. After losing her brother Jack to suicide, Rebecca devoted herself to understanding how trauma is held in the body and how energy—when safely accessed—can unlock deep emotional release, remembrance, and freedom. JAX, named in his honour, is more than a retreat centre. It’s a living body of work that invites people to come home to themselves and alchemise pain into power.
Rebecca leads immersive retreats, online healing sessions, and advanced facilitator trainings rooted in lived experience, somatic wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to integrity. Her leadership is fierce, honest, and deeply human—built on the belief that true healing doesn’t happen through fixing, but through feeling safely enough to return to the truth of who we are.
Currently based between Bali and Australia, Rebecca is guiding the JAX team remotely while on maternity leave, holding the same vision: less performance, more presence. Less pretending, more healing.

Ruth Simmonds
Somatic Trauma Practitioner & Nervous System Facilitator
-
Ruth is a trauma-informed somatic practitioner who specialises in nervous system regulation, breathwork, Pilates, and Kundalini activation. Her journey into mental health began in her teenage years while navigating a chaotic and unpredictable home environment. Ruth now facilitates regularly in our JAX Virtual Healing team, bringing a deeply embodied, grounded, and compassionate presence to each session. Her facilitation style is gentle yet powerful—rooted in lived experience and a deep understanding of what it means to come back into the body after long periods of disconnection. She holds space with clarity and care, helping others regulate their nervous systems, release stored emotion, and reconnect to their inner strength.
With a strong belief in the importance of community and accessible healing, Ruth is committed to guiding others through their own transformations—wherever they are in the world.
